ATLANTA, GA, December 18, 2017, Dr. Eddie Abdalla has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With 30 years of experience in medicine, Dr. Abdalla currently works as the medical director of the Liver and Pancreas Program at the Northside Hospital Cancer Institute in Atlanta, GA. He served as a professor and founding chairman of surgery and division director of surgical oncology at the Lebanese American University and as the chief of surgery at the Lebanese American University Medical Center-Rizk Hospital in Beirut, Lebanon since 2011. His professional career started at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center where he was on faculty from 2003 until 2011, then served as adjunct professor with the Department of Surgical Oncology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Abdalla has been recognized for important contributions to the fields of liver and pancreas surgery and surgical oncology. He was included as one of American Registry’s Most Honored Professionals in 2017, having won the Most Compassionate Doctor Award from them from 2011 to 2016 and the Patients’ Choice Award from 2008 to 2013. He also won the Compassionate Doctor Award from Vitals in 2013 and 2016, and Castle Connolly named him to their Top Doctors from 2008 to 2012 and again in 2018. Fellowship Trainees at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center voted him the Teacher of the Year Award in 2007, the Summer Internship Students Teacher Award in 2006, and the Clinical Excellence Award in 2001 and 2002.
